It is not a defense---it is from experience on the field watching how the umpires today act as compared to years ago---their ears are so big they could fly in a good breeze-- yes there are good ones but the bad and pompous ones overtake the game

Amazing how you can judge my thinking? On what basis do your do this--the old gezzer aspect does not bother me---what bothers me is how you can judge me as you do
