So lets say that it's 2nd and 3rd and a batter hits a pop fly in foul territory. The 3rd basemen goes to field it and drops it thus making it an error. Now the batter is still up and he gets a single to center. Is there anyway that the hit wouldn't be recorded as a hit because the batter should be out? Would the RBI's count?
