There's a girl on my son's HS football team. (There's no cut, so everybody who goes out wears the pads on either JV or varsity.)

The guys are all fine with it. She isn't even close to being able to compete, but she goes to all the practices. The guys try to treat her like just another player, but I know that they don't hit her as hard as they could in drills and such.

Just something she always wanted to do, she says.
