For me, fever pitch will always remind me of watching the world series, watching the sox win and wondering why Drew was down on the field kissing some guy. At the time, I was thinking how come she gets to go on the field - that would be really cool to be down there...

later on - around when the movie came out, I finally heard the whole story about how they reshot the end to incorporate the Red Sox winning - and I sure felt dumb

It is still one of the better baseball movies of all time (not that there have been that many good ones...)
