What if my son's tuition isn't (too much of) an issue? thanks to some planning and generous grandparents, my son's college fund will take care of tuition worries for the most part. we still want to get some sort of offer from the school so that we have a commitment coming from their end, right?

The baseball program isn’t really invested in your son if they aren’t offering some sort of athletic money. It matters more some places than others. So at any school you are considering that would be part of your vetting process.
