My oldest son was a freshman pitcher in 2001. Late one week night, he was summoned to the field to "roll out the tarp". As it turned out, he and another freshman were tied together (naked) and filmed singing the school fight song ---- a video that still pops up now and then around the campus (at inopportune times from his perspective).

His career was not spectacular....but as he wraps it up this season, I'm very thankful for his baseball "fraternity" and the experiences he has had playing in college. He is a great kid and, although his stats will not be reflected in any record books, his 4-time Academic All-Conference honors will always be special to his family. We love you, son.
