The overall impact of the financial crisis with the Program and the current U of M Baseball facilities have dampened any short term relief in terms of recruitment of talent in comparison with other colleges in the conference. Except for Boston University, Maryland is situation north of all other ACC conference schools, and especially pitchers that happen to be "blue chip" usually do not typically look to play with those colleges located in the north.
