If you have a good cumulative GPA as well as a good current year GPA - it wont hurt to put both down as it will show solid past and current performance and consistency.
In the future - IMO - you should list your cumulative GPA. If it isnt great - hopefully your current year GPA will show improvement (and effort).
Either way - unless you are applying to schools that are elite academic institutions - I dont think it matters all that much because if a school is truly interested in your ability - they will ask for the info you have omitted anyway and will ultimately ask for the transcripts.
Study hard - and get good grades. Thats the main thing - then you wont have to worry about any of it.
