"He throws too slow"?

I know that many of the good hitters prefer when a guy throws 88 instead of 78, but I hear this excuse sooo many times during a game. I believe that to be a good hitter you have to be able to hit both.

Does any one else actaully agree with the saying "He just throws to slow, I can't hit him"
