It is definetly a money grab, by the big, rich and powerful that are strong arming the smaller schools and conferences. This is a situation where the Govt should step up and demand fairness and equal treatment for all.

High schools have playoffs, Div 1-AA, Div 1, JC they all have play offs, even the NFL has a play off.
College basketball and baseball have a huge play off, with conference tournament winners advancing into the NCAA Championship. I would think football would interfer less on school than basketball does with games on school nights, and the NCAA Tourny last 1 month.

I hope Congress does stop the BCS so called championship and that a true play off gets initiated. Hopefully conference champions get automatic bids.
