I've thought that was a tough question to answer as well. I think its only important in the case you know a scout who has seen your son...and the college happens to know that scout too. You're just sort of connecting the two of them to have a conversation. If you know of one, give the name...they will connect with him after that.

If you don't know of any, just say "unsure" or something like that. To be truthful, except for a handful of very highly regarded prospects that answer is the honest answer for most kids.

I think they're just looking for reliable opinions and if you can give a name that they know...they will use it. Otherwise, its irrelevant.
