My "young" pitcher found the strike zone at age 17. He wisely pointed out that this was the first year he hadn't grown anywhere from 3-6 inches over the winter and finally felt like he knew his body. Its hard to find control when everything, especially his stride, changed so fast. When he quit growing, he settled down a lot.
