Reply to "How to get noticed without showcases"

You have received some good advice, but you need to have a complete plan for college, what are your grades, how much can your family afford to spend to send you to college, what level is your ability (D1, D2, D3 ) are there JC's in your area, what is your interest as far as major(s), what schools have these, what size of school are you interested in, locations, etc? . All of this needs to be worked out with you and your parents and then you can implement a plan. Based on the above make a list of the school that you have interest in, go online and find the recruiting coordinator for each of those schools and send them an email with the video you made with a short profile of yourself and ability. This has to be from your email address but have your parents or someone proof the emails. Make them personal to each school, coach. Keep a list of these schools and the communication. You will likely get back a lot of "come to our camp" reply's but ignore most of these and look for the personal responses.

This is what your list should look like.

This list is over 4 years old but should give you an idea. Go to www.d3baseball.com and look up all of the D3 schools in the NWest if this is where you want to go to school. There is a group of very competitive schools in your area and Linfield in particular is outstanding.

All of this is a lot of work and I suggest you sit down with your parents and make a plan. All of this does not cost you anything.

Good luck.
