ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' head coach Steve Coleman became the school's all-time winningest baseball coach as his Cowboys defeated Trinity, 10-5, in nonconference action at John J. Hunter Field in Abilene.

Coleman now has 217 wins, passing Larry Martindale who was 216-228 in his eight year career. Coleman is 217-174 in his 10th season. It took Coleman 53 less games to earn the record.

RICHARDSON, Texas - In the sixth inning of the nightcap of a nonconference doubleheader to UT-Dallas, Saturday afternoon at Comet Field in Richardson, Hardin-Simmons Cowboy Michael Simpson homered to right center to set the HSU school record for a career with 25.
