I stand corrected

Several months back there was a discussion on curveballs and when should a kid start throwing them. Somewhere along the way the discussion like alot of them went astray. I made the comment that my kid never had thrown one and I wouldnt let him. I cant remember who said it but they said "Coach May he is throwing them you just dont know it". I came right back and said that I knew he wasnt and he wouldnt because I have stressed to him that he is a catcher and 14 and it could hurt his arm. Well the other day were taking live bp on the field and we run out of arms. He comes out from behind the plate and says "I can throw a couple of batters". Well the first pitch out of his hand is a nasty 12-6 deuce that buckles the batters knees. My jaw drops and Im like what the heck was that. He smiles at me and says "Mr Nasty". Morale of the story go ahead and get a quality pitching instructor to show them a safe way to throw it because I stand corrected they (are) going to throw it.
