Reply to "Infield Grounder - No Throw - ??"

I had something sort of like this happen friday night to me. Not sure how they scored it. It was a grounder between 1st baseman and 2nd baseman, they both move to it, it gets past 1st but 2nd gets it. I the pitcher run and cover first in time for a throw. I call to the 2nd basemen to throw but he's confused because both team's uni's were mainly black. So he delays his throw and by the time i get it, the runner is safe.
