Injured Arm and College Offers

My son is a 2011 RHP and recently was diagnosed with a stress fracture of the elbow. He will have it repaired this summer and hopes to be recovered by fall baseball. He pitched the other day in a game an sat 87-88 for two innings. He has plans to attend a few Jr. College showcases in the next few weeks with hopes of getting an offer to play next year.
My question to parents and coaches who may have experienced this is how would a college coach feel about extending an offer to someone who is injured. His Doctor has indicated that he will return to pitching, pain free, once the fracture has healed with no long term issues.
