A teammate of my son's signed an NLI for Oregon State, but tore his Labrum playing football his senior year. The coaching staff at OSU basically intimidated him into not enrolling. They told him if he enrolled, the scholly would be gone after the single year, and that they would be unlikely to roster him after that.
He went Juco, had two great seasons, and is now likely to be a draft pick this spring. He would have been a contributor, I am sure, if OSU had stuck with him.
I can tell you this: the way OSU treated him made permanent enemies out of him and his parents.
