Installing new bases???

Hello all... I will be installing a new set of bolco hollywood bases this week. the instructions seem pretty straight forward. i just wanted any tips, ideas or suggestions from the experts out there before i start cementing and digging.

The set i bought did not come with the anchor stake forms. They just seem like a simple box shape made out of wood or aluminum to form the concrete correct? Any easy substitutes for the forms before i start building them out of wood?
