My freshman son plays for a mid-major D1 as a scholarship player. He has not been assigned to a summer league. Is this unusual and/or worrisome at this early stage of the season. He did survive the cut to make the preseason travel squad but has received minimal playing time in these first couple weekends. Many of his teammates already know their plans and have known of them since the fall.
