For instance, say there was a close play at the plate, plate umpire calls runner safe but it was pretty clear that catcher tagged runner's foot before runner touched the plate. Would a coach be over-stepping to tell the plate ump that it appeared he had a bad angle to see the tag from, and would he be so kind as to confer with his partner?

Every call would be subject to this re-assessment, an untenable situation.
