Why is public transport untouchable? Shut it down!! We'll see how "essential" things are when people have to walk, cycle or drive to where they "need" to go. If it is really, really essential (eg, nurses, hospital workers, police, fire) then use the stimulus money to get these people private Uber rides to work - I'm sure part of $2T will cover it.
