It's over, now what!?

After all these years of spending every waking moment involved in baseball ...what am I going to do now?! YES! I'M FREE AT LAST!!! I have turned my son over to BETTER coaching and now I can have a life again!

Don't get me wrong, I have relished every minute, but it's time for me to check out (as a coach anyway). My son is 13 and made the HS program as a 7th grader. In fact, every boy on my travel team made their respective HS programs this year! How cool is that? I'm so excited for these boys and have watched them all play since they were T-ballers at 6 years old.

My son gave me his schedule after practice last night and I am looking forward to attending his games ...as a spectator!

It is bitter-sweet, but more sweet than bitter. To be honest I believe that my son was ready to move on as well. He likes his new coaches and is excited to be playing where he will attend HS. It's what he has been working toward for a very long time and he is very happy ...and so am I.
