Top-flight recruiters don't get their leads off of high school message boards. Instead, they get them from trusted sources in the baseball community and the players, themselves. The recommendations of parents and paid representatives are generally viewed with extreme skepticism.
The player, himself, would be well served to communicate his interest to those programs in which he's interested and where he thinks he can contribute.
