With BBCOR, solid contact on the fat part of the barrel is going to yield similar results from bat to bat assuming the same size, weight and swing speed.
While there may be some slight variability in “pop” from bat to bat, I think people often mistake “pop” for consistently getting the sweet spot on the ball. This can happen because they swing a particular bat well due to it fitting their style or because the the manufacturer has succeeded in making the sweet spot easier to find for more players, ie bigger. When miss hits become singles and marginal hits find gaps, due to a big forgiving sweet spot, whatayaknow.....this bat has great “pop”.
