If you are using lizard skin, are you overlapping the tape by two holes? I ask because I had the same issue. I was not over lapping and the grips would start to come apart. By come apart I don't mean spread out where the each wrap separates from the last. The layers of the grip would separate. I did a little research and Lizard is meant to be overlap by two rows of the small holes in the grip. The grip ended up a lot shorted on the bat and held up A LOT better and longer.
