Little League Junior Gold Pilot Program

My son played in a new program called Little League Gold this year. I was very happy with the out come of this program. The Gold Program was set up as a very highly competitive Junior (13's only) 80' bases Division. This Program was designed to keep the area's most talented 13-year olds within the little league system. This pilot program was approved by Little League and was very successful this year. This program consisted of 4 districts, 15 talented teams and 45 games. Little League play started in early Feb. and ended in mid July with a Gold Tournament hosted by district 57. My son's team went 7 and 0 in the 10 day Gold Tournament winning the championship. This program might be something your Little League district would be interested in.
