Reply to "Load early/load late"

I have a switch, natural RH also. I suggest the following. Set him up a tee at almost the highest setting with the ball middle. Alternate 6-8 each side with the goal of line drive or hard ground ball up middle or slightly oppo. No pulling at all. Nothing high in the air.

He will start out crushing the tee & popping everything up. To adjust, he must have a more direct hand path to the ball & stay "inside" a bit more. You can't "hook" it & do this drill successfully. As for the load it should be slow & early & then explode. The back elbow tucks to the ribs & the barrel is proper at contact, then extend & finish. (See Paul Goldschmidt at contact)
