This being one of ARod’s worst years…
Only David Ortiz had more RBI+Runs scored than ARod in the American League.
The Yankees won their division
ARod total RBI+runs scored = 234
Jeter total RBI+runs scored = 215
No question Jeter had the best year, but Boston’s 3B finished the season with 75 less RBI+runs scored than ARod had.
The Yankees scored 110 more runs than Boston this year, 75 of them came from one position. Switch the two 3B and Boston gains the 75 difference, Yankees lose the 75 difference… 150 run difference. Or about 1 run for every game… That would have to make a big difference.
Maybe Yankee fans should rethink this ARod thing? I wonder if the Red Sox fans are?
By the way, for those who are mad about ARods salary. The Yankees actually pay more to Jeter.
And about that change of position thing. Look at these stats…
Last year ARod played SS was 2003, before going to the Yankees and switching to 3B.

Yet this guy had no problem switching positions despite being the best shortstop in the game at the time.
I like Jeter a lot, my son was his room mate one year.
I just don’t understand the ARod thing at all.
I actually feel sorry for him.
