Reply to "Mid-Atlantic Baseball Coaches Clinc"

My son went to the hitting clinic, on Saturday. All of the coaches listed were there. Several stations of small groups. Seemed well-organized. Ran smoothly. I got the feeling that the coaches enjoyed what they were doing. My son said they were all nice.

There was some personal instruction with tees and soft toss. Each kid got plenty of BP reps on the indoor field (at least 50 swings). Players wore numbers. Coaches had clipboards, so I assume they were looking for guys. They were not handing out scholarships on the field, but maybe they'll take a closer look at some, and follow their progress.

Creighton's Coach Tormohein gave a good talk to parents and players about recruiting and the demands of playing college baseball. He took his time to answer all questions.

The Maple Zone facility seemed to have its act together. I would let my son attend their future events.
