If money and time are issues, I would be hesitant to do the fall travel team. Unless he is being watched by a number of schools who want to see him play, the likelihood he'll get "discovered" is remote. It happens, yes. And high velo pitchers can stand out. But I think a more focused approach might be better -- reaching out to coaches, individual camps, PG showcase, etc. It all comes down to bang for your limited buck. Good luck.
