My short answer is to refer back to his school list. Try to match up the options that give him the best chance at getting in front of other schools he may be interested in while still allowing for continued development. I would also suggest, if possible, to set it up to where he has some skin in the game (i.e. - he must commit to earning x% or x$ over the summer to contribute to the costs of his travel and recruiting efforts).
