Baseball isn't for everyone. It is a Darwinian journey with some portion of kids dropping out each year until you've got maybe 5-10% of former Little Leaguers making their HS varsity team. There's lots more to high school than participating in a sport that isn't a fit and isn't fun. One of my son's stopped playing baseball in HS and joined the cross country team.
