Reply to "My Son was Released Today"

I hope people don't get upset with me for updating this thread but some news to report....

One day after being named Southern League player of the week, my son was released yesterday by the Mariners. This was due to no fault of his own or lack of support from the Mariners. He called Chris Gwynn (Tony's brother) the minor league director and requested his release about two weeks ago and Chris agreed. My son wanted to join his former team (Barnstormers) after the Generals season was over and that required a release. The Barnstormers are in the thick of the playoff race and will likely play the whole month of September and perhaps into October. It allows him to get paid for an additional month and he enjoys playing there with Coach Butch Hobson and the rest of his teammates. The fans there are also very supportive.

I thought I'd update this post so people did not wonder why he was released. Thanks.
