need some tips for hitting more efficiently

I am going to be a freshman at Pontiac Township High School next year and we wont have enough numbers so i will try out for the sophomore team. I was wondering if anybody could give me tips to hit the ball more efficiently. I have batted in the 1 or 2 spot for as long as i have been playing baseball, so i think that i need to get on base more than normal. I have been struggling lately so i need to step it up. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
