TR - last night at the completion of my son's highschool tryouts, the coach used one of our other seniors as an example. The coach was speaking to all kids, but especially the one's that had been cut. He told about a kid who didn't make the team as a freshman. However, the kid didn't give up - came back, tried out, and made it as a soph and junior. As a junior last year, he contributed (pitcher) to us getting to the state finals. I love these kind of stories and these kind of kids. A kid who will take an honest evaluation, work hard and keep trying. His parents made no excuses his freshmen year, but continued to support him in working hard. This player is an asset to our team in many ways.
