It makes sense, I hollow out the ends of my fungo( you may call it corking without the cork) and I get an extra 30 to 40 feet on a flyball easy. Taking away that little bit of weight really makes a huge difference.

It does seem like it would take some time getting used to swinging it properly on every single swing.
