Don't be surprised if you follow the same path I did Cabbage. It sure wouldn't surprise me. I did it for several years then walked away for 10 years. Took some time to see what it was like and do some things Coaching wouldn't allow me the time to do. This past season was my first back and all I can say is I really enjoyed it. I can also say I learned to take my hands off some things and allow my younger coaches to grow. I learned to spend more time talking and mentoring and less time yelling and challenging. I think I am a much better Coach because I walked away.
I don't know you other than what I have read here. But from what I have read your players have been very fortunate to have you. I wish you the best and enjoy your time off. And if you decide to pick it back up it wouldn't surprise me one bit and some players will be lucky if you make that decision down the road. Like TPM said everyone needs some time off.
