Nothin' like a good piece of wood.

So to speak...

It's no secret to me that using a wood bat whenever I get the chance in pre-game BP or off a tee in a cage will help me be a better hitter someway, somehow. However, I have been through a few Demarini composite bats and they have been just OK to me. I recently dug up an old 34/31 wood bat that I had purchased from the Louisville Bat Company a few years back when I visited for only $15.00 due to a misprint on the barrel. I have been using it for a few weeks in the cage and on the field pregame BP and it feels absolutely beautiful in my hands and when I make contact. The ball jumps off the bat just as good, if not, better as a Demarini composite.

Does anyone else know of any quality solid wood bats for a decent price? I am convinced that some of the Demarini composites are over-priced for their quality.

I welcome any other opinions/thoughts.
