When my 2018 RHP committed, he asked the HC, RC and PC how often they would like to communicate. He at least texts with the PC every week. RC maybe every couple weeks. HC he talks to at least once a month.

I'd have your son put the ball in the coaches court and find out what sort of things they would like to be notified about.
