There is some good HS baseball being played at Tinker Field in Orlando. The current #1 team in 5A, Jacksonville Wolfson, has made it to the final four along with Colonial HS (Orlando), Brentwood Academy (Nashville) and Lake Highland Prep (Orlando).
Scouts from over 14 major league teams have been in attendance. Many have come to see Wolfson's Eric Hurley, a P/1B. Hurley was clocked at 94mph several times on Monday. Also on the Wolfson team is Billy Butler. Butler is a hard throwing (over 90mph) P/3B who hits with plenty of power.
Several players at the tournament will be going on to play at the college level. Ga Tech, Georgetown, and U of F are just a few of the schools represented at ONBC.
Lake Highland is putting on a first rate tournament with teams from Florida (Orlando, Pensacola, Tampa, Ocoee and Port St Lucie) Tennessee and Colorado.
