Reply to "Pacific International League"

My son played in the PIL last summer.  I think he felt it was pretty solid competition (though I have no idea how it would compare to the Texas Collegiate League).  I visited at the end of the summer and saw a few games and at least the teams I saw were solid.  His team was composed of college players, with a couple of former pros; think one of those guys had played affiliated ball and the other Indy ball.  They played a couple of non-league games against a West Coast League team and split -- though I suspect the WCL team may have been using pitchers who weren't getting a lot of innings in league play. Some of the teams go to tournaments up in Canada, e.g, Grand Forks Invitational.  The Seattle Studs go to the National Baseball Congress World Series in Wichita every year -- which they have won a few times.

Pacific Northwest is beautiful.
