TR, the Pads are going nowhere and suggesting they are is wrong and completely lacking in facts. Moores himself is/has made a number of investments in hotels, etc linked to Petco. You might take a vacation there. One of the most beautiful, rapidly growing areas in the US. Where the heck would they go that is better than that and why? Like it or not, Alderson is one of the very brightest in baseball. The Braves, A's, Twins, Indians and now the White Sox are prime examples that money does not "win" ball games. (Can you say Orioles?
) Money gets you immediate and lots of talent in NY and Boston but does not win games. Other organizations build differently and successfully. Boston/NYY have so ravaged their farm systems they have to pay big $$$ to free agents. Other organizations using the model largely put in place by Alderson build more gradually and effectively. TR, you are wrong on the issue and your post.
