The ball was clearly a catch, and Jason held up his glove so the umps could see it. While the rest of the players were on the field waiting for the injured players to be helped off, the home plate umpire, who did not make any call, said he "heard it bounce", but he did not see it bounce. He must have superman hearing to "hear" it from homeplate. The field umpire said he would have called it a catch, the game would have been over; but it wasn't his call and there was no conference between them to discuss it.

It was a great game to watch. Hudson didn't have his best stuff but the fielding was A+++ behind him- no errors and spectacular plays by Zach Woods in right field (diving catch) and Jake McAloose (stopped a liner down 3rd base line), and Jason Taylor in center. The last out was made at the plate after Dory Fields threw to relay man Alex Owen, who threw to a waiting Justin Neumann for the out at the plate.

Lynnhaven plays Pittsburg tomorrow, 8/1, at 1:00pm (time change due to a lot of rain over the weekend and more forecast for tomorrow). Sean Ray will be the starter.
