Well, my kid was one of those high school 6.5 kids that ended up being drafted out of h.s. He had a bad day at the time. Maybe you would have concluded at the time "he wasn't good enough to make your 13U team" or maybe you overestimate the talent of your 13U team!
P.G. got it right. The rating system is not perfect--that's impossible--but they do as good a job as anyone, and there are many in the baseball world that pay attention.
