Reply to "PG releases new system for ranking..."

Have to keep the lights burning somehow.
PG, more than likely felt like they have to keep up, with Triple Crown.
PG is without a doubt the top rating affiliation and showcase provider in the country. That being said, their entry fees have gone up roughly 20% for next year.

IMHO - For what's it worth.... : Big GrinThe PG team idea is not sound. If you could find all the best players per age groups in the country, get them all agree to play for one particular program. Then maybe you would have something. However, wiser heads usually prevail once travel and cost are considered. To me, it also seems to border on Analist/Client type privilages when it comes to player evaluations.

I do not recall a PG team winning a WWBA or BCS event in the past. I'm not sure if they play together year round or not. If so I'm sure they have won some other events, just none that I'm aware of.

Triple Crown, got the ball rolling for next year showcasing 14u in Omaha. Charge $1100 for a "4 game guarantee tournament" Non Showcase.

Then they want to charge every player $95 for measurments. Which consist ofFrown 60's, home to first, radar bull pen, radar of, catcher's pop.
Another $95 per PLAYER to play in one showcase game with a college coach at the helm for the game. Of coarse, you can get the package deal for $175.

Talk about Revenue!!!!

Somehow.............I hope talent overcomes all this.
