I am using the same philosophy with my son. He is a lefty and naturally locates outside to RH hitters. While bbscout insists that successful pitchers command both sides of the plate (and I agree), I believe that the hardest pitch to hit is low and outside and I am working with my son to have command there first. We also work high and tight but low and away is becoming a very consistant strike pitch. JMO.
