Varsity or not has absolutely nothing to do with the equipment used to meet the guidelines in the rule book. Besides, It really doesn’t make any difference if the mound is built correctly. If it’s a typical mound on a HS field though, its been literally thrown together using whatever soil is readily available, rather than the specific soil mixtures used on higher level mounds. If that’s the case, use the rubber you can rotate with wear, and can be filled.
