Man, there's a lot of wisdom in this thread.

College baseball offers few, if any, "safe harbors." By the time he gets to that level it's in a player's best interest to recognize that intra-squad competition makes everyone better and embrace it for what it offers. Dodging it is not the approach to be taken.
