I think the first thing to consider is your son's education, where he will best fit in, if you have the option to go to a school not in your district. I know both the CSHS and Monarch coaches.
Although not the best bb program, CSHS,CCHS are 5A schools playing in a good district and against good schools. Douglas, Taravella, etc. Also, most who try out at CSHS make the team. Go where you will play. Where my son went to school and getting drafted had nothing to with where he went to HS. I ma not sure of the other private school you are refering to.
BTW, CCHS produced a player, as a draft and follow he just signed for over a mil. It was not where he played, but his talent.
If your son has been in a competitive travel program he should continue at that level in HS. There's so much going on in our state, you can't miss anything.
